The Event:

Urban art is open to all artists producing original artworks including painting, photography and printmaking (wood-cut, etching, silkscreen, etc. Giclee prints not allowed). Artists must be present during the event (e.g. no gallery representation). The organisers reserve the right to ask to remove (or remove) items they feel inappropriate.

Please note this is NOT a craft fair and such items as gift cards, T-shirts, jewellery, etc. are not permitted. Also, for copyright reasons we cannot allow pictures using other people's photography, e.g. portraits of famous faces.

Our agreement with the council is that all pieces must hang flat on the railings and the footpath must not be obstructed in any way. Selling from cars is strictly forbidden. A folding chair per exhibitor is allowed but please, No tables, No boxes, No easels and No browsers.

It is also advisable to bring protective plastic sheeting in case of rain.

Pitch Details:

All railings are 1.5 metres high and each full pitch is roughly 6 metres long. Exhibitors will need to provide their own hanging equipment and must man their own space each day. Fixings must be removed at the end of each day (e.g. leave the railings as you find them), even if you are exhibiting both days. The official start will be 10am and you are asked to start setting up from 9am onwards. All exhibitors must report back to the Information Desk at the end of each day, even if you are exhibiting both days.

Costs:

Full Railing - £130 one day or £260 two days.

Half Railings - £70 one day or £140 two days.

All fees paid are non returnable and non transferable.

We also ask for a sample of your work (see below) to show on the web site and possibly other publicity purposes (e.g. Press Release, Leaflet, Poster). We assure you this image will only be used in connection with the Urban Art event and not used for any other commercial purposes.
